HAPPY THANKSGIVING

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!
I hope everyone has had a wonderful day, and took the time to be thankful for all you have. I'm so very thankful for being blessed with so many wonderful people in my life. I've experienced things and places that I'd never even contemplated. I was able to visit Senegal, Crete, Italy, spend a week training with the world record holder, and be a part of the DecaNations team in Anncey, France. I was also in ESPN the Magazine, and attended my first red carpet event. (Good times!) Not only that, but my journey is just beginning and I get to experience it with each and everyone of you! As we enter the holiday season I know we're all going to be very busy, so I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how honored I am to do what I love, and share my story with you.

Hello Amber,
It was truly a blessing for me and my family to have met you today at the Doug Shaw Sports Complex. After speaking with you, we got back to the hotel and did our research. You are the real deal, and will continue to excel because of your hardwork and dedication, which we are instilling in our son, who is now 13. He as well as my husband and I have just been sitting here and looking at all the footage on you tube. I wish you much success in the future. God Bless

Throwing formats
In Olympic throwing events -- men's and women's shot put, discus, hammer and javelin -- the competition begins with a qualifying round in which the entire field is divided into two or more groups. In this round, competitors take turns attempting to reach a pre-set distance that automatically advances them to the final. If fewer than 12 athletes meet the distance required from direct qualification, the 12 competitors with the best throws, plus any athletes tying for 12th, advance to the final. In the final round, competitors take turns until each has attempted three throws. At this point, the top eight-ranked competitors (plus ties) receive three more throws. The best throw of the six is counted and the athlete with the longest throw is declared the winner. In case of a tie, the second-best throw is consulted.
